Psychiatrists:
Medical Doctors (M.D.) with four or five years of specialized training
after completion of medical school. This experience prepares them
in the evaluation and treatment of mental health problems. All
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists must complete training in Adult
Psychiatry before their Child and Adolescent sub-specialty
fellowship program.
Clinical Psychologists:
Doctorate level clinicians with either a Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.
trained to evaluate and treat psychological and behavioral disorders.
Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialists:
Nurse practioners with advanced training and degrees (R.N.,
C.S.). They are experienced in providing mental health care to
children, adolescent, adults and families. They are also licensed
to prescribe psychiatric medication in collaboration with a
psychiatrist.
Psychiatric Social Workers:
Specialized clinicians with Master’s degree in social work, and also
licensed as an L.I.C.S.W. (licensed independent clinical social
worker).
Licensed Mental Health Counselors:
Certified clinicians with a Master’s degree in counseling.
Experience and exam proficiency qualify as an LMHC (licensed mental
health counselor).
Our staff are all individually
licensed. They have extensive experience in working with
children, adolescents, adults and families. We strive to match
each child/family with the clinician who can best provide the necessary
treatment.
